Taiwan market: Canon launches PowerShot SX500 IS

Canon on September 10 unveiled the PowerShot SX500 IS, a digital bridge camera for immediate launch in the Taiwan market at a recommended retail price of NT$11,990 (US$401), according to Canon Marketing (Taiwan).

PowerShot SX500 IS features a 16-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor, 30x (24-720mm) optical zoom, a 3.0-inch 461,000-pixel TFT-LCD screen, dimensions of 104(W) by 70(H) by 80(D)mm and a weight (including battery) of 341g.
