Chip inventories to decline slightly in 1Q12, says IHS

Average semiconductor days of inventory (DOI) held by chip suppliers are expected to decline by 0.5% in the first quarter, after rising 3.4% and hitting an 11-year high in the fourth quarter of 2011, according to IHS iSuppli.
