Motech begins production of new own-brand PV modules

Taiwan-based Motech Industries on October 13 announced that it has officially begun producing two new polycrystalline silicon (poly-Si) solar modules, the IM60 and IM72, under its own brand name. The IM60 and IM72 are based on Motech solar cells, and range in power output from 230-245W and 280-295W, respectively.

Motech branded solar modules will be manufactured by Motech Americas, located in Delaware, US. Final UL certification was obtained at the end of September and the first 1,000 IM60 modules were shipped out the very next day, according to the company.
