Global chip sales up 1.8% on month in August 2010, says SIA

Global sales of semiconductors were US$25.7 billion in August 2010, up 1.8% from US$25.2 billion in July and 32.6% from the US$19.4 billion posted a year ago, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA).
