Global chip sales up for sixth consecutive month in August, says SIA

Worldwide sales of semiconductors in August were US$19.1 billion, an increase of 5% from July 2009 when sales were US$18.2 billion, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA). Sales were up sequentially in all geographic regions.
