Chunghwa Telecom 2008 profit beats target

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) has reported self-estimated net profit of NT$45.33 billion (US$1.37 billion) for 2008, exceeding the goal of NT$43.60 billion by 3.97% and equivalent to net earnings per share (EPS) of NT$3.9.
