CMO announces 8.5G fab; to ramp up 6G and 7.5G capacity this year

Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) will build an 8.5-generation (8.5G) TFT LCD plant located at Kaohsiung Science Park, a satellite of the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), the company announced during its fourth quarter investor conference.
