Taiwan market: Acer rolls out new 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor

Acer began selling the 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor (P243W) at NT$14,900 (US$457) on 18 October in Taiwan. A limited 1,000 units will be available for sale, according to the company.

The company also announced that new 19-, 20- and 22-inch widescreen monitors will be available in the market soon. Acer will roll out two 19-inch LCD monitors (P191W and P193W) with a dynamic contrast of 2000:1, a 20-inch LCD monitor (P201W), and two 22-inch LCD monitors (P221W and P223W).

The 24-inch LCD monitor features DVI-D, D-sub and HDMI connections. Other features include a native resolution of 1920×1200, a brightness of 400 nits, and a dynamic contrast of 3,000:1. The 24-inch monitor has a response time of 2ms and a 92% NTSC color gamut, noted the company.
