Sanyo Epson develops 7.1-inch full HD LCD panel

Sanyo Epson Imaging Devices today announced the development of a 7.1-inch direct-view full high-definition (HD) low-temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) LCD panel.

Sanyo Epson intends to commercialize the LCD globally for use in such devices as professional video equipment, portable TVs for personal use and in-car systems with terrestrial digital TV (DTV) reception.

Sanyo Epson will exhibit the 7.1-inch LTPS LCD at FPD International 2006 from October 18 to 20 at Pacifico Yokohama, Japan.
