Global PC monitor shipments totaled 135.59 million units in 2005, up 12.35% from 120.7 million units in 2004, according to an iSuppli report released at the end of 2005. The LCD monitor segment continued to see strong growth, while demand for CRT monitors declined during the period. Shipments of LCD monitors reached 93.813 million units, with CRT monitors experiencing a 31% on-year decline to contribute the remaining 41.777 million units during the period.
