Strong retail sales boost Gateway's market share, but direct and professional sales fall

Gateway on February 2 (in the US) reported full-year 2005 revenue of US$3.854 billion and a net profit of US$49.5 million, or 13 cents per diluted share. Total PC unit sales for the year were 4.5 million, a 27% increase on 2004.
