Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) recently introduced its 975X7AA-8EKRS2 motherboard, which is based on the Intel 975X chipset. The chipset recently appeared at the Intel website without a formal launch. According to Foxconn, the motherboard supports dual-graphics technologies, such as ATI’s CrossFire (Nvidia’s SLI is not mentioned), and features a rear external SATA II connector. The product will be available in December, the company said.
The 975X7AA-8EKRS2 supports future Intel 65 nm processors known (Presler and Cedar Mill), Foxconn stated. Both of the processors are expected to come out early next year. The new motherboard also integrates dual Gigabit Ethernet support and eight-channel High Definition Audio technology, according to the company.
