Everlight, Epistar to invest NT$1 billion in 2004 to boost LED production

Everlight Electronics and Epistar will jointly invest around NT$1 billion (about US$29.4 million) in 2004 to expand production of SMD (surface-mounted device) LEDs and blue LEDs in 2004, Robert Yeh, the chairman of both companies, said yesterday.
