Toshiba hands orders for desktop P4 notebooks to Compal

Toshiba is the first of the world’s top five notebook companies to introduce a model using a desktop Pentium 4 (P4) processor, and Taiwan-based Compal Electronics has been awarded the contract-manufacturing orders.
