BOE's 8.5G Panel Line Reaches Full Capacity

On August 1, Chinese TFT-LCD manufacturer BOE (000725.SZ) announced that its 8.5G panel production line in Beijing - the first to be built and put into production by a Mainland Chinese company - reached full capacity in late July. With a production capacity of 90,000 glass substrate panels per month and a product yield of 94%, the line is expected to produce more than 10 mln LCD panels this year.
In May 2012, BOE surpassed AU Optronics and South Korean panel makers to become the second largest supplier of panels to Chinese television manufacturers.
