Gateway launches high-end notebook for multimedia and gaming

Gateway, a wholly owned subsidiary of Acer, has launched the Gateway P-7808u FX notebook, the latest high-end notebook of its P-Series FX line for gaming, entertainment and digital media.

The P-7808u FX includes the Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q9000 (2.0GHz, 6MB L2 cache, 1066MHz FSB), allowing consumers to enjoy games and cinematic entertainment, said Gateway.

The notebook is equipped with Nvidia's GeForce 9800M GTS graphics solution with 1GB of GDDR3 discrete video memory and a 17-inch widescreen display with 1440×900 resolution.

The notebook includes 4GB of memory and a 500GB capacity hard drive.

Illuminated multimedia keys are integrated into the keyboard to allow access to frequently-used audio and video functions, while a touch-control slide lets users conveniently increase and decrease the volume, highlighted Gateway.

The Gateway P-7808u FX is available now with a retail price of US$1,799.99.
