Taiwan market: Global Mobile unveils dual-mode smartphone

Global Mobile, a WiMAX operator in Taiwan, has launched 7G Miracle, a 3G/WiMAX dual-mode smartphone, in the Taiwan market for contract sale through carrier Vibo Telecom.
The phone features support for voice communication through Vibo's 3G network and mobile access to the Internet at download/upload speeds of 4/2 Mbps through Global Mobile's WiMAX network, a 4.1-inch touch screen, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, Global Mobile indicated.
The smartphone is produced by Taiwan-based Gemtek Technology on an ODM basis and for sale at a contract-free price of NT$10,500 (US$355).
