FET opens TD-LTE experimental network

Mobile telecom carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) on June 19 inaugurated its TD-LTE experimental network established in a self-developed telecom park located in New Taipei City, northern Taiwan, according to the company. China's vice minister of Industry and Information Technology Xi Guo-hua, currently paying a business visit to Taiwan, was invited to attend the inaugural ceremony. The experimental network provides software/hardware interoperability testing for 2G, 2.5G, 3G, 3.5G, WiMAX and TD-LTE, FET indicated.
