Computex 2010: WiMAX medicare use demonstrated to Taiwan president

Chairman JT Wang for both Acer and the Taipei Computer Association, one of the organizers of Computex, and chairwoman Lin Kuo Wen-yen for Tatung InfoComm, one of the six WiMAX operators in Taiwan, invited Taiwan president Ma Ying-jeou to visit an exhibition showing the possibilities of using WiMAX in medicare. The exhibition shows that WiMAX wireless technologies can be used to transmit key medical data, such as a patient's heart beat and blood pressure, from the ambulance to the hospital, while the hospital can send the patents' medical records to the ambulance to aid immediate treatment.
