Vee Time signs MOU with Intel for WiMAX interoperability testing

Vee Time (previously Vee Telecom Multimedia), one of the six WiMAX operators in Taiwan, on May 31 announced it has signed an MOU with Intel to use its network for OIOT (operator interoperability testing) of Intel-developed WiMAX chipset solutions and devices equipped with such solutions. The testing initiative will enable Taiwan-based makers to ship WiMAX terminal devices that have passed testing without the need to first send devices abroad for testing and certification, according to industry sources.
