Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) has issued two more WiMAX operating licenses to telecom carriers Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) and Vmax Telecom. The two carriers are required to bring their WiMAX networks into commercial operations within six months of obtaining the licenses.
FET plans to kick off its commercial WiMAX services in Taichung city, in central Taiwan in the second half of December targeting the household segment, the company said.
