WiMAX equipment vendor Alvarion sets up Taiwan branch office

WiMAX equipment vendor Alvarion has announced the establishment of its branch office in Taiwan in order to strengthen its cooperation with local WiMAX operators. Alvarion has already established business relations with Vmax Telecom, one of the island's six WiMAX operators, noted Peter Yang, country manager of Alvarion Taiwan. Meanwhile, the company is also stepping up its contact with Tatung InfoComm as the local WiMAX operator is expanding its WiMAX coverage in southern Taiwan, Yang said.
