Taiwan makers begin shipments of LTE devices to Russia-based Yota

Taiwan-based makers have started shipments of LTE (Long Term Evolution) terminal devices to Russia-based mobile telecom carrier Yota and have also sent such products for certification by potential clients including Verizon Wireless in the US, Vodafone in Germany and DoCoMo in Japan, according to company sources. Yota, which has shifted from WiMAX to LTE, used to be a main client for Taiwan-based WiMAX terminal device makers, the sources indicated.
