Taiwan market: NCC issues WiMAX operating license to Vee Telecom

Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a WiMAX operating license to Vee Telecom Multimedia. Vee is expected to kick off WiMAX commercial operations in Kinmen and Taichung counties in April. The NCC is scheduled to review an application for a operating license filed by First International Telecom (Fitel) soon, according to industry sources. Fitel is the last of Taiwan's six licensees to apply for an operating license.
