IBM contracting Samsung for PowerPC production, say Taiwan sources

IBM Microelectronics has reportedly sealed an agreement with Samsung Electronics by which Big Blue’s chip-making unit will outsource some of its PowerPC processor production to the South Korean firm, according to Taiwanese sources close to IBM.
