| Raritan: IP KVM business in Asia growing well Raritan’s business in Asia has been steadily growing over the years, according to company vice president, Sidney Huang, adding that China and India are the fastest growing markets in the region. | Few pure OEM/ODM manufacturers take advantage of Computex The 25th Computex opens today with, as expected, more of everything than ever before. However, a closer look at the preliminary numbers indicates that only the numbers of overseas exhibitors and storage equipment providers has increased significantly. Exhibitors in a number of key areas, such as computer systems and motherboards, and peripherals, have shrunk and the number of handset and handset component exhibitors does not adequately represent Taiwan's presence in the area. This may be partly due to consolidation, but it appears that a number of key companies are staying away and these seem to be predominantly pure OEM/ODM manufacturers.

 21 Apr 2005: | Compro: let’s make TV digital and portable This year, Taiwanese VGA card and TV tuner maker Compro Technology sees opportunities to market more digital TV products and portable TV devices. Three of Compro’s products, the digital VideoMate DVB-T Stick, the analog VideoMate TV Stick and the VideoMate TV Tiny, shown last month at the CeBIT trade fair will come out ahead of the original schedule, according to the company’s general manager Mike Lo. The initial plan was to release them in June and to start shipments in July, but now Compro is hoping to come to Computex with the products already launched, he said.
